DJ HTB is a full-time DJ with residencies in two
busy U.K. clubs, each catering to over 1500 people on any given night.
He delivers complete performances five nights a week, and says he loves mixing all kinds
of music -- cheese, hip hop, r & b, house and more. "No matter
what the genre, if it's good, it's good," he says. "But if it's crap,
it's crap."
MixMeister Fusion
"It certainly beats working a regular 9 to 5 job -- the pay is
superb at this level! But I've done this all my life, really. I really
like being able to
entertain an audience with something I enjoy as well."
"I like using digital music instead of CDs, and with MixMeister, the
mix is sweeter -- you shouldn't get it wrong because you can complete the mix
upwards of 20 minutes before the customer hears it.
"Plus MixMeister is very versatile, and it gives me lots of time to be
with the customers. I think the best music policy for a club is to let
customers choose some of the music. A DJ playing vinyl and CDs has to do
a set based on what they're carrying, but with MixMeister I can carry my
complete collection in digital format. So if customers come up and make any request,
within 60 seconds their
record could be playing."
"Not much really... I love music and tend to spend my spare time
doing prep work for the coming week, and looking for the next step
forward in digital presentation media. If it's out there I want to
know about it."
"I really like the visual approach MixMeister uses. I can be
anywhere in the DJ booth and turn around, and I can see if my mix point
is coming up."
