A MixMeister playlist stores all of the playback
settings that you have configured in the playlist and the Timeline.
This includes the list of tracks and the individual track settings.
Notes about saving a playlist in an alternate
format: ·
Other MP3 players do not support all of the features in a
MixMeister playlist. So, if you
save the playlist in another format, some of the mix settings will not be stored
in that format. To be sure to save
all of your settings, use the MixMeister format. Tips for
putting together great playlists
Here are some playlist pointers to keep in mind: ·
As you’re selecting music for a
particular playlist, pick tracks that fit the mood of the event, situation, or
people who will be listening. Remember that the best music for an event may not
include all of your own personal favorites. For example, if you’re creating a
playlist for a dance club, the music should have a strong beat that will keep
people on the dance floor. On the other hand, if your mix will be used at a
restaurant for background music, tracks with slower tempos would be appropriate. ·
Choose tracks that work well together.
If you want to use music of different styles in one playlist, consider grouping
similar music together. For example, separate your rockin’ party tunes from
your techno dance tracks. ·
Take a look at the BPM of each song in
your playlist. Order the songs so that changes in BPM are gradual, not sudden.
To build the energy level at a dance club, start off with lower BPM tunes, and
then add on songs with increasingly higher BPMs. ·
Before playing your entire mix for the
masses, make sure you listen to the overlapping segments between every two
songs. If you need to make adjustments, do so. To have the greatest control over
fine-tuning your playlist, try beat mixing! For more information, see: |
